Week of April 21st: Calls to Action for Monday and Tuesday!๐บ๐ธ
BH914 by Rep Amedee is in committee on Monday, three health freedom bills get a vote on the House floor on Tuesday!
Itโs another busy week at the Louisiana Capitol!
If you havenโt yet, take a look at our 2024 Health Freedom Bill List. We started the legislative session with 23 bills on our favorites list and they are slowly making their way through the legislature. We start the week off with HB914 in the House Civil Law Committee.
HB914 by Rep Beryl Amedee will prohibit the unsafe and unsound business practice of discrimination in banking based on religious or political beliefs or affiliations. As noted in Newsweek article entitled,ย Stop the Troubling Trend of Politically Motivated Debanking:
โAdvocacy groups, government officials, and activist shareholders are using Environmental, Social, and Governance mandates to coerce banks to cut ties with politically disfavored industries like oil companies and firearms manufacturers. Now, it appears this cancellation threat is spreading to political and religious views that activists disfavor, too.โ
Send a statement of support to the committee on Civil Law and Procedure now in support of HB914!
Next, on Tuesday, April 23rd. . .
HB958 by Rep Beryl Amedee prohibits kickbacks from insurance companies to incentivize vaccine uptake, like the ones in the insurance graphics below.
These kickbacks are incredibly unethical and influence providers to remove patients who do not vaccinate in an effort to get a higher bonus. This immoral medical and business practice must come to an end.
This bill will get a floor vote on Tuesday, April 23rd. Send a message to your state rep and ask them to vote YES on HB958!
Rep Amedeeโs HB866, which will provide a medical Right to Refuse any โbiologic, vaccine, drug, pharmaceutical, medical device, gene therapy, DNA-based product, or RNA-based product which has been Authorized for Emergency Use or is a declared a countermeasure through the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act,โ will also be up for floor debate on Tuesday, April 23rd!
We believe Louisiana is the only state to address this pressing concern to protect Americans from the harm created by mandates of drugs and interventions Authorized for Emergency Use or declared a countermeasure under the PREP Act.
HB866 by Rep Amedee will receive a floor vote on Tuesday, April 23rd. Ask your state rep to vote YES on HB866!
HB813 by Rep Kathy Edmonston will prevent medical licensing boards from interfering with off-label prescriptions. Most notable during covid, certain medical licensing boards interferred with a physicianโs right to write off-label scripts, undoubtedly costing countless lives.
Send a messaage of support for HB813 and protect a physicianโs right to prescribe off-label!
The legislative session is underway once again!! We could really use your help filling up our gas tanks as we make the treck to Baton Rouge to fight for your health freedom!
