We need your help with these ACTION ITEMS!
Bills to support and one pesky bill that needs to be killed.
Hello, friends!!
We need your help with these ACTION ITEMS today:
TWO bills need your support as they go before the House for a floor vote tomorrow, TUESDAY, May 16th, and ONE is in committee:
First…
Send a message to your State Rep TODAY and tell them to support parental rights by supporting HB152, a parental rights constitutional amendment.
Like constitutionally protected rights, parental rights should not be suspended in times of crisis. In Louisiana, parental rights WERE suspended when Governor Edwards, Louisiana Department of Health, and Louisiana Department of Education forced masks on children in the classroom without parental consent.
Ask your representative to support HB152 by Rep Beryl Amedee, a parental rights constitutional amendment.
Next…
Representative Gabe Firment is taking on the monumental task of protecting children from incredibly harmful medical interventions known as “gender affirming care.” The bill # on this legislation has changed - it is now HB648.
No one in Louisiana has the right to harm any child! Unless HB648 is passed, Louisiana will become a sanctuary state for these horrific procedures on minors as states around us have enacted legislation protecting children.
What can you do?
Email or call your State Rep TODAY and ask them to support HB648 by Rep Gabe Firment!
Find your State Rep here. Share this simple message with them:
“No one in Louisiana has the right to harm any child! Vote YES on HB648 and protect children from unproven, experimental, and irreversible medical interventions.”
Finally…
Let’s Kill This Bill!!
HB471 by Rep Barbara Frieberg will allow pharmacists, pharmacy techs, and pharmacy interns to administer ALL vaccines to children as young as SEVEN. Currently, pharmacists can only administer flu shots to those 17 years or older.
This bill was supposed to be heard last week but was deferred so if you haven’t sent an email yet, there’s still time!
Ask the Health and Welfare committee to vote NO on HB471!
Thank you for taking action TODAY! And thank you for staying active and engaged on these important pieces of legislation!
