Time to Turn UP the Pressure!
We're hearing the Senate may ONLY ban surgical procedures and NOT cross sex hormones!
Friends, if it wasn’t blatantly apparent to you by now, the Louisiana legislature is in a sad state. Elections can’t come soon enough - we MUST make them count! Because with our current legislature, especially current leadership by Senate President Cortez and House Speaker Schexnayder who have singlehandedly blocked key bills:
Not a single health freedom bill has been passed since the covid plandemic began
Louisiana is now poised to become the “oasis” for “gender affirming care” in the entire south
Did you catch that? “Among states with Republican trifectas or supermajorities, Louisiana is the ONLY state in the South to bat their ban.”
We don’t know about you, but that makes us sick to our stomach.
So this is what we need to do. We need to TURN UP THE PRESSURE and contact Senate President Cortez and tell him NO COMPROMISE ON HB648!!

Senate President Cortez and your state Senator* must understand that opposite-sex hormone therapy with the intended purpose of changing a child’s biological sex is a delusional experiment with irreversible consequences like permanent sterilization, cancer, stroke, brain swelling with risk of blindness, diabetes, heart disease, and who knows what else.
If Louisiana allows a compromise on HB648 to allow continued chemical hormone treatment - considered OFF LABEL USE by the FDA, i.e. it's EXPERIMENTAL- vulnerable children from other states will flood Louisiana for treatment - making us a destination state for this incredibly harmful practice.
Already a “doctor” in Shreveport is advertising for people to come to LA to get “treated”. WE DON’T WANT LOUISIANA TO BECOME AN “OASIS” FOR THIS CHILD ABUSE.

*To look up your state senator’s contact information, go here and enter your address. It will list your Louisiana legislators as well as your U.S. Congressmen. Since HB648 is a state bill (not federal), we need you to contact your Louisiana state senator. Once you’ve entered your address you’ll see a list like the one below. Your Louisiana state senator is the one that says “Louisiana Senate District _”. Click on that name and it’ll bring you to his/her page with his/her contact information.
Really appreciate our work. I emailed my Senator. Sending prayers as well.
