This Week at the Capitol: Great Bills on the Move!
And a look at next week's calendar of bills.
It’s been a busy week at the Capitol with four bills moving through various committees very successfully!
Believe it or not, there was a total of ONE “no” vote among the four bills in committee this week. Representative Barbara Frieberg voted against Senator Blake Miguez’s SB117, which will advance to a final House floor vote next week.
Also advancing to a House floor vote is HB608 by Rep. Kim Coates, and HB400 by Rep. Emily Chenevert. Rep. Chuck Owen amended HB377 with a substitute bill, so it received a new bill number—HB690. This new legislation asks the Surgeon General to promulgate rules for healthcare to ensure federal guidelines are followed regarding pharmaceuticals and medical devices granted Emergency Use Authorization to ensure recipients are provided appropriate informed consent.
