HB312 bill needs immediate attention!
TODAY on the House floor, HB312 by Rep Chuck Owen, will receive a vote on the House floor. HB312 will make ivermectin available over-the-counter without a prescription. Known as one of the safest and most effective drugs on the market, Tennessee made ivermectin available over-the-counter in 2022. HFL refers people to TN all the time to purchase IVM! Let’s bring that business back home! Email and call your state rep NOW and tell them to vote YES on HB312!
Next, on Wednesday, April 10th, HB815 is in House Health and Welfare!
During covid, the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) produced countless advertising and promotional materials for masks and covid vaccines that were not in compliance with FDA requirements. The issue was so concerning that HFL filed a formal complaint with the FDA and detailed the violations in the substack article below.
Rep Beth Billings has filed HB815 which would require LDH to follow FDA rules and regulations when promoting or advertising drugs and pharmaceuticals. This bill is in House Health and Welfare tomorrow, April 10th, in Room 5 at 9:00 am.
Email a statement of support to the committee today and ask them to require truth in advertising from LDH!
Currently in Louisiana, coroners are required by law to investigate the deaths of infants 12 months or younger. Rep Beryl Amedee has authored HB288 which will require coroners to include the child’s immunization history in the investigation report. Is it a complete investigation if certain medical information is ignored?
Send your statement of support to the House Judiciary Committee by clicking the link below! The bill will be heard on Thursday, April 11th, in Room 1 at 9:00 am.
We will keep you updated on the votes on our social media channels - make sure you are following us on Facebook, X, and Instagram.
A quick update on HB47 by Rep Kathy Edmonston and the awful amendment added by Rep Jessica Domangue, detailed in the article below:
Senators on the Education Committee, where the bill will be heard next, have heard from their constituents - THANK YOU! - and will be removing the amendment, or the bill will not be moving forward. Rep Edmonston issued a statement that you can read HERE.
Thankfully, with any legislation, the bill author always has the option to pull the bill at any time - a key component of the legislative process.
As amended, the bill will not be signed into law.
