Only Four Covid Vaccine Injury Claims Have Been Compensated
And the system proves to be terribly broken
🍁 October is Vaccine Injury Awareness Month so it’s the perfect opportunity to share little known facts about vaccines and vaccine programs. Let’s take a look at the government program utilized to compensate for covid vaccine injury, the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP).
In the almost three years since the covid vaccines were rolled out, an astronomical number of injuries and deaths following covid vaccination have been reported to VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System). In addition to filing a VAERS report, compensation for covid vaccine injuries and deaths requires filing a claim in the Countermeasure Injury Compensation Program, a construct of the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP Act). You can find detailed information on how to file for compensation through CICP on our website, HealthFreedomLA.org, but the biggest takeaway is the short amount of time an individual has to file: one year from time of administration of the vaccine.
In an October 2020 Wall Street Journal article titled “People Harmed by Coronavirus Vaccines Will Have Little Recourse,” Renée Gentry, director of the Vaccine Injury Litigation Clinic at George Washington University Law School is quoted as saying:
“The countermeasures compensation program is effectively a right to file and lose.”
Unfortunately, Ms. Gentry is correct. To date, only four claimants have been compensated, while 1,129 have been denied, and an astonishing 10,949 claims are still left to review. Of the four claims compensated, below is the injury and the amount awarded:
Anaphylaxis $2,019.55
Myocarditis $1,582.65
Myocarditis $1,032.69
Myocarditis $3,958
Total: $8,592.89
These monetary snapshots are no indication of the suffering these individuals experienced. And, by the way, CICP does not compensate for pain and suffering. It simply compensates for medical expenses once your insurance is exhausted.
I had the opportunity to chat recently with Angelia Desselle, a Louisiana native who was severely injured by the first dose of a Pfizer covid vaccine on January 5, 2021. I hope you will listen to our short conversation about how she is doing now and the fianancial burden that covid vaccine injury has been to her and her family. Unfortunately, she was discouraged from filing for CICP and missed the deadline.
As I discuss with Angelia in the video above, the messaging about covid vaccines was so manipulative, from the governor to every public health professional that were paraded out in press conferences. Earlier this year, we filed a formal complaint with the FDA against LDH because of the false and misleading messaging in their promotional material. With a recent class-action lawsuit being brought against the manufacturer of remdesivir over deceptive practices, and other lawsuits being brought against hospitals over their usage of remdesivir, it begs the question: is the state of Louisiana culpable for the injuries that occurred as a result of the state’s deceptive messaging? Are the covid vaccine manufacturers liable for injuries given their involvement?
Perhaps more lawsuits are in order. To make that happen, you need plaintiffs…
