We’ve been granted permission to share this message sent to us and Representative Chuck Owen regarding HB291, the No Patient Left Alone Act.
Kevin’s story
My husband worked offshore. July 29, 2021 he departed to go offshore for his 2 week hitch. On the evening of August 8, 2021 he was sent home due to “close contact of COVID” The platform was full of it. The morning of August 9, 2021, (the day after returning home) he tested positive. On the night of August 15, 2021 he went to the emergency room at St Tammany Parish Hospital and was admitted on August 16, 2021.
Every day I called the hospital at least twice a day, once in the morning, and once in the evening, to check on his stats. Every single time I would call, I begged and cried to be able to come and see him. I even told them I would sign any release, put on a suit of armor, or do anything that they would require for me to be able to see him. I was constantly told no! I was also told that I couldn’t see him unless it was “end of life”. I was even told that if I was to show up at the hospital, that security was guarding the elevators, and that I could be arrested for trying to get in to see him. He had 3 little yorkies that he adored. I even went as far as to ask if I could send one of his beloved pups up for a visit. I was quickly told that that was against St. Tammany Parish Hospital’s policy. I found that odd as I could send up food for the staff and other items….My heart broke into pieces as my wonderful husband of almost 43 years was deathly ill with no loved ones by his side encouraging him, talking to him, being with him. Only a FaceTime here and there and I was told not to be too long talking because it would tire him out. I just wanted to be there with him. I was also told by a nurse that she was going to have to limit my phone calls as I was calling too much. I had called 3 times instead of 2 that particular day. On August 26, 2021 he was put on the ventilator. He passed on September 18, 2021. I did not get to see him until after he was on the ventilator, and it was toward the end of his life. I remember the room being so quiet…. No noise. A tv was there but not on. I was broken hearted thinking about all those days of him being in that room with silence.
His life ended September 18, 2021. The love of my life died not knowing how hard I tried to get to go see him. I didn’t get to talk to him while he was able to hear and understand that I was there because he was under so much medication and unresponsive while on the vent. I will never be the same. We have truly lost all our medical rights. I pray nobody else ever has to endure this inhumane treatment.
Please, Mr Owen, make a difference and a change so that nobody else has to die like this.
Please don’t hesitate to call me if you have questions or need more information.
Thank you for your efforts,
Robin Province

Thank you for your support of this very important legislation. If you can attend in person to give testimony, the committee will convene in House Rm 5 at 9:00 am.
I love you Aunt Robin. This is disgusting and should not happen to anyone. We live in America and countless people have fought and given their lives so we can remain so and the way the Government behaves nowadays is over reach and needs to be stopped. No one should have to endure these types of problems and it is down right disgusting and evil and the truth will come to light. I hope everyone of them pays so they will never get the chance to hurt anyone ever again
Your husband was murdered by the hospital and the Remdesivir they poisoned him with. There is Hell to be paid for these crimes.
I am very sorry you had to live through this.
