It's a GO!
HB372 the CDC/WHO bill is back on the table and being heard tomorrow, Wednesday, May 10th!
Though we have fewer bills this session, there has been no shortage of drama. It’s inevitable in politics, I guess.
As you may recall, HB372, Rep. Kathy Edmonston’s bill that was originally drafted to limit the authority of any guidance coming from the CDC or the World Health Organization (WHO), but was amended the day of the committee hearing in such a way as to make it completely ineffective, was killed in committee on April 25th. Or so we thought…
We wrote about what happened that day in a previous substack. In short, though the (amended) bill was defeated by a vote, because of an error in procedure, there was no public testimony so the incident was being reviewed by House Speaker Clay Shexnayder. You can watch the entire thing play out here, scroll to the 1:04:42 mark.
And so, HB372 has been revived from the dead.
It will be heard again tomorrow, Wednesday, May 10, in the same committee, House Health & Welfare, room 5 beginning at 9am.
While we did not support the amended bill (for reasons explained in our substack) we are thrilled to report that we were able to work with Rep Edmonston to change the language, going back to the original intent and making it an effective bill - one that would prohibit any recommendations from the CDC or WHO to be used as sole justification for mask, vaccine, or medical testing requirements, which is exactly what happened in Louisiana during the pandemic. The Louisiana Department of Health and the Louisiana Department of Education rubber stamped recommendations from those agencies, no questions asked, and without any further justification, and that is precisely what we are trying to address and prevent with this bill. The newest version is not yet posted on the site but as soon as it is you’ll be able to find it here under Amendments.
Update 12:07pm: the latest amendment, the one we drafted, is up on the site.
This is where you come in. Please email the committee members TODAY - it’s already been drafted for you, simply enter your information in the form linked below and click submit. That’s it!
A huge thanks to local legend and legislative guru, Woody Jenkins, for helping us draft this bill.

As with all human interactive problems this is just a thought, our interaction with nature is super OUT OF BALANCE and Farmers are forced to destroy their lands with artificial fertilizers pesticides herbicides.
There is a better way now Planetaryhealthproject.org is teaming up with Dr Ali Khalvati PhD microbiology to use "Coal ash" and create the world's first waste to product that is 100% non polluting and strengthen the soils life strengthen the plant growth process which deliver plan resistance to insecs through hormonal response.
These factors should be considered in legislation to promote such pathways and reduce costs to putting such technology online with the farmer in mind.
To date nothing is being done to correct for a symbiotic relationship learning or thinking to create the better future that is ahead of the requirements and needs that will ultimately arrive.
