Don't Want CBDC to Get a Foothold in Louisiana?

Rep Beryl Amedee’s HB415, which will prohibit a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) bank account from being legal in the state of Louisiana, will be up for a vote before the full House on Wednesday, May 17th!

One more thing…

Also up for debate on Wednesday, May 17th, is HB212 by Rep Paul Hollis. This legislation will have dramatic impact on future recalls of elected officials by reducing the number of signatures required to fulfill recall requirements. If you will remember, the recall attempts in 2020 of Governor John Bel Edwards and Speaker Clay Schexnayder and, more recently, the attempted recall of New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, were all foiled by lack of valid signatures. HB212 will make recall attempts more feasible by requiring a number of signatures relative to the number of people who voted in the election.

Call/email your State Rep and ask them to vote for HB212 during the House floor vote on Wednesday, May 17th!
