Caleb Kleinpeter, the Only Man for State Senate District 17
And not just because his opponent voted to add covid shots to the school schedule.
I had the opportunity to meet Caleb Kleinpeter this summer at the LAGOP Convention in Lafayette and I’ve been seeing him all over social media ever since. He takes every opportunity to meet the people of Senate District 17, the seat recently held by Senator Rick Ward who resigned at the end of this year’s legislative session. If the amount of time and energy spent meeting and connecting with the residents of senate district 17 is any indication of how Caleb will work FOR them in the Louisiana Legislature, they will have the most diligent member of the legislature as their statesman.
Take a glimpse at the Kleinpeter campaign facebook page to see the efforts Caleb has made getting to know the people in his district.
Caleb does not support vaccine or mask mandates and does not believe that an inidvidual’s constitutional rights can or should be violated during an emergency in the interest of public safety.
Of course, HFL is very interested in the “parental rights bill” that Caleb has on his campaign platform. I hope to offer useful insights from the pandemic that will ensure parental rights are never infringed upon again as they were under Governor Edwards’ mask mandate. No government employee, elected official, or agency is qualified to make medical decisions in place of parents.
So we can see that Caleb will work hard for the people of Senate District 17 because of his tremendous efforts to earn their vote. We know his views on medical mandates, and we know he plans to ensure that parental rights are secured.
What do we know about his opponent, State Representative Jeremy Lacombe?
We have LaCombe’s party affiliation and voting record. No Louisiana Democrat has spoken out against the unbelievably discriminatory policies that were implemented during the pandemic. Not ONE.
So can we expect LaCombe’s silence if it happens again? Without a doubt. Even now with the truth in plain view for all to see, there have been no apologies for the incredible harms to our fellow man that were perpetrated over the last several years.
How did LaCombe vote during the pandemic?
He voted to ADD the covid shot to the list for K-12 school attendance when he voted AGAINST HCR3. Despite the overwhelming public outcry against the addition of the shot, Lacombe thought it was necessary to have it for school attendance.
LaCombe voted to ALLOW the government to discriminate based on covid vaccination status when he voted AGAINST HB498 in 2021.
LaCombe voted to ALLOW civil suits against business owners that did not implement a policy requiring covid vaccination for employees or customers by voting AGAINST HB103 in 2021.
